From the Course
As mentioned last week by Captain John Benn, there are stakes or hoops protecting areas around the course that are under “repair / recovery”. If you remove a stake or hoop to play a shot, please replace it after you have played your shot.
We have received 35+mm of much needed rain this week which will assist our course management through the winter months. During these months especially, course care is imperative. Please remember to repair pitch marks, divots and rake bunkers around the course, even if this care has not been exercised by others before you?
Also, we are now experiencing some morning frosts. Our course staff have requested where possible and to assist them to maintain the fairways in the best possible condition that, if you are driving a cart, you drive it in the areas of rough, rather than on the fairways. This will avoid black burn marks appearing on frost affected fairways.
Thank you and, as always, good golfing.
